Kids in general are so much into technology today. Good for you for being an example to them. They're lucky :-)

Melody Joy Elickhttps://www.joyelick.com/https://www.blogger.com/profile/13303234304641532938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3718889291143924858.post-18546633505088992342013-08-01T09:41:55.764-07:002013-08-01T09:41:55.764-07:00Thank you, Johnnie, for taking the time to read my...Thank you, Johnnie, for taking the time to read my post and for commenting. When I was growing up, I had a grandmother who lived in Washington, while I lived in Oregon (about six or seven hours apart). She was very consistent about sending me and my sisters each a letter or postcard on regular basis. I always looked forward to reading them. They made me feel connected to her. I have these saved in my hope-chest. Now that she's gone, they are that much more meaningful.

Melody Joy Elickhttps://www.joyelick.com/https://www.blogger.com/profile/13303234304641532938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3718889291143924858.post-64432880770711561872013-08-01T04:38:17.752-07:002013-08-01T04:38:17.752-07:00Just saw this on GirlGab. We write a post on our updates, and even some of my kids are sending handwritten letters.Pioneer Woman at Hearthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16533698959389851926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3718889291143924858.post-36514760358143374682013-07-31T17:57:12.328-07:002013-07-31T17:57:12.328-07:00Great article, Joy. It's sad that this kind of legacy may be lost to future generations. But really, how hard can it be to write at least one letter a week? This is something I really want to do.
